ESTABLISHED

The first FOCUS chapter was established in the late 1990s at what was then Technikon Witwatersrand (TWR). It has now grown to eight university campuses in Gauteng.

FOCUS is non-denominational, supported by a network of diverse churches in Johannesburg and beyond.

GOD’S WORD

Centred on the expository study of God’s word - the agent through which God works by his Spirit to change people.

SMALL GROUPS

Small group Bible studies at the heart, along with expository talks, regular one-to-ones, weekends away, socials and commitment to local churches.

PROCLAIM

Proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ with clarity.

PURSUE

Pursuing lives that are increasingly Christ-like.

TRAIN

Training followers of Jesus to correctly handle God’s word and teach it to others.

LIFELONG

Growing lifelong followers of Jesus, who remain committed to making and maturing disciples on the campus, in the workplace and throughout society.
